Our commitment
Wellbeing Tips and its sub-brands aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard. We don't always get it right, but we treat accessibility as part of designing well, not as an extra at the end.
What we do
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
- Visible focus rings. When you tab to a link or button, there's always a clear visual indicator.
- Screen reader support. Buttons, links, and images have proper labels and alt text.
- Colour contrast. All body text and important UI sits above the WCAG AA contrast threshold against its background.
- Reduced motion. If you've set "prefer reduced motion" in your operating system, all our animations stop, including the breathing visual and the character float.
- No timed content. Nothing on our site requires you to act within a time limit.
- No flashing content. We don't use rapid flashing or strobe effects.
- Resizable text. Everything scales properly up to 200% zoom without breaking layout.
What we know is imperfect
The breathing visual on the home page uses subtle colour change as part of its animation. If colour alone is hard for you to use, the cue text ("breathe in", "breathe out") and rhythm should still guide you.
Audio is off by default and only plays a gentle chime if you turn it on. The chimes don't carry information that isn't also conveyed visually.
Compatibility
We've tested with the latest versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android. Things should also work well with VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, and JAWS. If you're using something older, parts of the site may look simpler but should still work.
Tell us what's not working
If something on the site is hard to use, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as a priority, not a complaint. Email hello@wellbeing.tips with as much detail as you can give us — the page, the browser or screen reader you were using, and what didn't work. We'll reply.
Formal status
This is a voluntary accessibility statement. Wellbeing Tips is operated by Kensington Square Therapy Limited, a private company in England & Wales. We are not legally bound by the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, but we work to the same standard.
